Role Overview
Outlook Therapeutics is a startup biotech company committed to excellence in ophthalmology. We are seeking a motivated, strategic, and "hands-on" Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to lead our scientific engagement efforts in North Germany.
Reporting directly to the European Medical Affairs Lead, you will serve as the key scientific link between the company and the medical community. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives in a competitive market, enjoys navigating challenges, and is eager to contribute to the success of a growing biotech organization. We are looking for a candidate who is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- KOL Engagement: Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with retinal specialists and healthcare professionals across North Germany.
- Scientific Exchange: Facilitate high-level, peer-to-peer scientific discussions regarding retinal diseases and Outlook Therapeutics’ clinical data.
- Strategic Input: Provide regional insights to the European Medical Affairs Lead to help shape the medical strategy in a competitive landscape.
- Field Leadership: Act as the scientific face of the company in the territory, maintaining a 70% field presence to ensure consistent stakeholder engagement.
- Medical Education: Support regional advisory boards, symposia, and educational meetings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure all field activities align with the company’s medical goals and regulatory standards.
- Hands-on Execution: Manage territory planning and administrative tasks independently within a lean startup environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of a PhD, MD, or PharmD or equal is required.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Senior Medical Science Liaison within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Therapeutic Area: Experience in Ophthalmology or Retina is preferred.
- Communication: Strong communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
- Availability: Must be able to start immediately on a 12-month contract basis.
