Primary title: Unit Head - Hospital Operations
Industry & sector: Healthcare delivery — multi-specialty hospital operations and clinical services in the private hospitals sector. We run full-service inpatient and outpatient facilities focused on quality clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance and scalable patient experience models.
Location & workplace: India — On-site leadership role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of a hospital unit (inpatient and outpatient services), ensuring safe, efficient, and patient‑centric care delivery.
- Own financial performance for the unit: prepare budgets, track revenue and costs, and implement corrective actions to meet profitability targets.
- Drive clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives to meet accreditation standards (NABH/NABL) and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize patient flow and operational processes across admissions, billing, clinical scheduling and bed management to improve throughput and reduce length of stay.
- Hire, coach and develop cross‑functional teams—nursing, clinical support, administrative staff—setting performance metrics and accountability frameworks.
- Collaborate with clinical leaders, supply chain, and IT to implement HIS/EHR workflows, safety protocols, and patient‑experience programs.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven experience leading hospital operations or a large clinical unit with accountability for clinical quality and P&L.
- Demonstrated success managing budgets, revenue cycles, and cost controls in a hospital setting.
- Hands-on experience with accreditation processes and quality frameworks (NABH/NABL or equivalent).
- Operational knowledge of Hospital Information Systems / EHR and process digitization for clinical operations.
- Strong stakeholder management across clinical, nursing, and administrative teams with evidence of team building and performance management.
Preferred
- Experience in multi-specialty hospitals or hospital chains with exposure to insurance/payer networks and revenue optimization.
- Background in implementing patient-experience or digital care-pathway initiatives that improved key metrics (satisfaction, readmission, LOS).
