About The Opportunity
Education — K-12 school healthcare. We provide on-site primary medical care, first-aid, and emergency response for students and staff at a busy Delhi-area day school. The role delivers routine clinical support, injury management, and health education during school hours, ensuring student safety and continuity of care.
Primary Job Title: School Medical Officer (MBBS)
Location & Schedule: Rithala, Rohini, Delhi — On-site. School hours: Monday–Friday 07:15 AM–02:15 PM; Saturday half-day.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site primary medical care and triage for students and staff—assess illness, treat injuries, and determine next-step care or referrals.
- Deliver immediate first-aid, wound care, and minor procedures (suturing/dressing) within scope of practice and school policy.
- Administer and document basic immunizations and prescribed medications following parental consent and school protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records, daily clinic logs, and incident reports; escalate serious cases to parents/guardians and external medical services.
- Coordinate emergency response during critical incidents and liaise with ambulance services, parents, and local hospitals as required.
- Support health promotion activities: routine health checks, student health education, infection control measures, and vaccination drives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must‑Have
- MBBS degree from a recognised institution
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience, including paediatric/primary care exposure
- Fem-ale candidate (required by school policy)
- Valid state medical registration (as per Indian regulations)
- Proven competence in first-aid, paediatric assessment, and wound management
- Available to work the school schedule (Mon–Fri full day; Sat half day)
Preferred
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Prior experience working in school health programs or with school-aged children
- Training in child safeguarding, immunization protocols, or school health administration
