About WifOR
WifOR is an independent economic research institute, founded in 2009 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Darmstadt. As experts in macroeconomic analysis, our research focuses on the areas of labor markets, health, and sustainability. Through our studies, WifOR’s mission is to enable data-based solutions to challenges on the labor market, set global standards in Impact Measurement, and illuminate the value of health investments worldwide. WifOR has over 75 employees located in Germany and Greece.
Our Health Economics business unit researches the societal and economic value of health and healthcare. Join our team as a Senior Researcher (f/m/x) at one of our locations and help generate resilient evidence for sustainable healthcare systems.
Your tasks
- You independently manage research and consulting projects, with a focus on health services research and health economic analyses
- You develop innovative methodological approaches and apply them using statistical and econometric methods
- You prepare proposals and develop new project ideas and analytical concepts
- You structure complex research questions into clear project workflows and work packages while maintaining an overview
- You are responsible for managing multiple projects and act as the person of contact between project teams and clients
- You prepare project results in a clear and compelling way and present them to national and international clients
- You use your analytical skills to make complex relationships understandable for a wide range of stakeholders – in reports, presentations, or workshops
Your profile
- A completed university degree – ideally in economics, health economics, or public health
- Knowledge of health economic evaluation, empirical economic research, and/or data analysis
- Solid experience in project work and project management
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken – German skills are an advantage
- Confident use of Microsoft 365 and statistical tools such as R or Python
- Strong analytical thinking and enjoyment of teamwork
- Openness, willingness to learn, and curiosity to explore new paths together with us
