About the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our Ethical & Generic Sales team within Health Care Division. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales strategy, channel development, distributor engagement, and team performance in your assigned region.
This high-impact role requires strong execution skills, people leadership, and an in-depth understanding of the Ayurveda or Pharma healthcare market.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Drive area sales business through effective planning, routing, and budget adherence
- Expand coverage across Ayurveda doctors, hospitals, chemists, and channels
- Execute trade promotions, doctor engagement programs, and GTM initiatives
- Improve forecasting accuracy and distributor/field force productivity
- Support new product launches and strengthen brand presence
- Track sales data, competition, and share actionable insights with RSM
- Ensure stock availability, hygiene, timely delivery, and claim resolution
- Lead, train, and develop Sales Officers for consistent performance
What we are looking for?
- 5-10 years of Ayurveda/Pharma sales experience, with at least 3+years in ASM role in Ayurveda or Pharma Industry
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA/PGDM (Preferred)
- Good understanding of Ayurveda industry is a must.
- Result-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
- Proficiency in MS Excel is a plus
