Purpose of Job:
To consolidate and build on rapid growth, to support Business Development-Speciality brands. Fast learning, show initiative, build relationships and be accountable for contributing to substantial European growth planned over the next few years.
To support the development of the Europe and MENA business through matrix working with cross functional departments, evaluating new opportunities to license products for EMENA region in depth analysis & reporting of projects before presenting your findings and proposals.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Portfolio & Pipeline
- Evaluate new opportunities to license the product for addition into Pipeline for EMENA. Keep track of all licensed assets and propose and evaluate suitable opportunities for financial assessment.
- Identify and assess new opportunities in innovative therapies such as Cell & Gene, CAR-T, ADCs, bi-specifics, and plasma for global markets, including the US, EU, and India. Perform scientific due diligence, analyze therapy classes, create therapeutic landscapes, and conduct product reviews within each therapy class.
- Conduct evaluation and scientific due diligence, therapy class analysis, posology, create therapeutic landscape, and complete product review within therapy class
- Keeping abreast of market trends, patent landscapes and competitor moves to achieve better market share matrix by utilizing the market intelligence.
- Perform epidemiology analysis, patients’ segmentation, competitive landscape analysis
- Study country/regional disease specific clinical guideline and assist in possible product positioning analysis and insight generation
- Analog analysis and selection of right analog for price benchmarking based on nature of product
- Scouting of new opportunity, initiate outreach and generate potential leads for In-licensing opportunity.
- Perform financial assessments of all new opportunities for Pipeline addition – NPV, IRR, Break-Even analysis, SWOT analysis before selecting pipeline proposals.
- BC/PIF preparation, discussion, and submission for approval to generate value of pipeline over next 5 years that help the organization to achieve long term goals
- Share the updates to exec team on ongoing activities carried out by Specialty Brandsteam and other relevant tasks.
- Review of IQVIA data to evaluate, in-depth analysis to support the in-licensing deals and initiatives
- Analysis of Competitor/Partner Portfolio to understand overlap with Accord portfolio and share feedback
- Add value to Speciality products with new differentiating features and product lifecycle management to bring the improvement in current products or therapy that can add help healthcare professionals and patients in multiple aspects.
Cross Functional
- To liaise with Legal, finance, Supply chain, IP, RA, Clinical & R&D team to discuss relevant topics regarding on-going and future licensing deals.
- Prepration of documentation to be presented to senior management towards securing internal stakeholder approvals in organized & efficient manner
- Understand Product development & launch status for IL; and prepare Regulatory filing grid and budget for running FY
Team Support
- Initiate contacts and arrange meetings - coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners for arranging and scheduling meetings etc.
- Attend meetings with counterparties to both originate business and deepen relationships.
- Maintain and improve database of materials, presentations, models, and clinical documents.
- Assist in continuous learning process through improving standard templates and guiding other teams to make best use of team materials.
- Analysing prescribing and therapy trends, including competitive, market, IP and regulatory/compliance.
- Over time, build an effective network of contacts at Accord and across the pharmaceutical industry.

Relevant Functional/Technical Skills or Industry Experience
- Excellent numerical skills with strong excel ability and power point.
- Substantial experience of 5 years plus in the Pharmaceutical Market ideally for Europe and MENA region .
- A track record of accomplishments in Portfolio alongside Sales or Business development at an operational and strategic level.
- Multi source data consolidation, assessment, reporting and analytics- highly numerate and computer literate.
Relevant Professional / Educational Background:
- Essential requirement - Master’s degree in Pharmacy with 3 to 6 years’ experience in Portfolio or product selection department or business development department in a pharmaceutical company for regulated markets.
- It is important that you are fluent in English.
- Preferred candidates who have done courses or degree in M.B.A. or Finance or Business field.
- Exposure or understanding of European Pharma market is added advantage
