Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate clinical competence in all aspects of patient care.
Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care and assess the impact of nursing interventions as required.
Conduct assessment and reassessment of pain and manage pain appropriately.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for medication management.
Explain the plan of care to the patient and family.
Document all patient records in accordance with policies and standards.
Educate patients and families as required and involve patients, family members, and significant others in the patient’s care.
Administer intravenous, intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections.
Manage blood and body fluids, including HAZMAT spills.
Follow blood drawing protocols and collect required reports.
Demonstrate knowledge of nursing care plans and their documentation.
